The Paris Agreement, a legally binding international treaty on climate change, adopted by 196 Countries, came into force on November 4th 2016. Its goal is to limit global warming to well below 2, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels. As a consequence, we expect investments into renewable energy and in particular solar- and wind energy to grow exponentially the next 10 – 15 years.
